Toxic Relationships

Toxic relationships are relationships that are harmful, negative, and detrimental to the emotional and mental well-being of one or both partners. These relationships are characterized by patterns of behavior that are controlling, manipulative, and abusive.

Toxic relationships can occur in any type of relationship, including romantic relationships, friendships, family relationships, or work relationships. The behaviors that define toxic relationships can include emotional and verbal abuse, physical abuse, gaslighting, manipulation, lying, withholding affection or love, and any other behavior that undermines the well-being of the partner.
